Poseidon Steramine 1-G Sanitizer, 150 Tablets

Steramine is the antimicrobial agent recommended in the US for sanitizing regulator second stages, mouthpieces and rebreather loops. Steramine has a proven history of effective use that meets the public health and regulatory criteria of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), US Public Health Service (USPHS), and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Bottle of 150 tablets, dissolve in drinking water: one tablet per gallon for soaking or two tablets per gallon for spraying. Allow the wet solution to contact surfaces to be sanitized for at least 1 minute. The dry tablets themselves do not have a shelf life (the date on the bottle is date of manufacture not expiry) because the antimicrobial agent is only activated once mixed with water.

Poseidon recommends GigaSept or Virkon in the EU, but GigaSept is not approved by the EPA for any use in the US and Virkon is only available in the US as a veterinary formulation for use on pigs.
